Local Nature Recovery Strategy
The Hertfordshire Nature Recovery Partnership has launched a new campaign called the Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS).
This strategy will provide a comprehensive plan for nature recovery which will be created in collaboration with businesses, charities and local communities across Herts. It will identify key habitats and species that require targeted nature recovery action, identifying where new habitats can be created or existing habitats be improved.
It will then produce the following:
- A free, interactive mapping tool that will plot existing key habitats to help improve biodiversity and identify areas for nature recovery.
- A shortlist of Hertfordshire species to identify and protect local flora and fauna in the County. This will aid future strategies for local environmental protection and get on front foot of tackling the climate emergency.
